Hi there! I’m Isabelle Barbour the truthteller behind Truthteller Consulting. I’m a 20+ year public health professional and storyteller.

In my career I’ve worked in community, county and state public health with a focus on systems change and racial equity. My work has included a broad array of topics and strategies including cross-sector partnership, community engagement, strengthening collaboratives, violence prevention, Positive Youth Development, community organizing, Coordinated School Health, marijuana legalization, and public health modernization.

As part of my personal work, I make audio stories with individuals and community based organizations as a way to elevate their work and bring attention to struggles for equity. I share these stories on WPKN Radio in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Check out the Storytelling page for more information about the radio work.

I’m an experienced facilitator who is committed to creating safe and brave spaces for people to fully be who they are. These spaces are necessary for forwarding a more just society.

When I’m not working or you might find me dancing to disco, losing at Scrabble, or walking my wayward pooches in the woods.
